Poncho Cannella is one of the most ferocious guitarists in the world.  His skill is revered among guitarist and music lovers everywhere.   "My version of the blues is very different and is about going deep, playing chord changes and solos that come from my spirit," says Poncho, who has just released his debut CD, featuring Latin style atmospheric guitar and offering a modern take an a classic genre.

Poncho situates the blues in a diverse context that incorporates rock, funk, and jazz influences to which he adds  a mix of African and Latin rhythms.   There are also several nods to electronica, that finds Poncho's psychedelic solos floating over an infectious percussion loop.   Poncho has a  most alert and creative mind .
